Maths for GCSE (9-1) Astronomy

This course has been developed for ours (or other students). The aim is to take the pain out of the maths required in GCSE (9-1) Astronomy. Topics are as below

Hubble’s Constant
Standard Form
Kepler’s Laws of Planetary Motion
Measuring Circumference of the Earth
Celestial Coordinates
Angular Measurement
Distance to the Stars
The equation of Time Optics

Also, as part of this course, much time is spent introducing the student to the GCSE course itself, giving information on the Observational Tasks as well. The idea is once the student completes this course they will have a sound knowledge, giving them the edge on other students who might not have completed the course. This is unique to the OAS Academy, to our knowledge, no other institution offers this service.
