Observational Tasks

There are no supervised writeups association with the new GCSE (9-1) Astronomy format.

However there is still the requirement to complete two Observational tasks, one for the unaided (year1) and one for the aided (year 2). But aided, we mean, with a telescope.

The observations are not supervised, however you must provide reasonable evidence to the tutor that you have done the work. This could be in the form of

Latitude and Longitude for where they observations were made

Date, Time, and Observing Conditions

The setup you used to make the observations.

You tutor will provide you with more details as required. In the meantime, please feel free to read Edexcels Specification which goes into more detail on these.

Please note, there is a form which will need to be completed, and if sitting with OAS Academy, the Principle of the Academy will need to be satisfied of the observations in the event of him signing them off.
